 8.29.10: | new album & U.S. tour!
Drew says the band has just begun work on their fifth studio album. They will be writing and recording it in San Francisco over the next month and a half with producer Dan the Automator. There's no word yet on a title for the album but they are hoping to release the new album in early 2011.
After finishing recording the new album, dredg will be heading out on a Fall U.S. tour beginning in mid-October. There's a long list of dates that have just been posted up in the tour dates section. Stay tuned for more tour dates and updates about the new album.
6.8.10: | dark days and vague judgement
There's a new video up of dredg in the studio with Judgement Day recording "Long Days and Vague Clues" that can be viewed here. And speaking of Judgement Day, we have just created a new fan site for them over at www.darkopus.com. Many of you have seen Judgement Day opening for dredg live and all of you have heard them on "Long Days and Vague Clues." They are a 3-piece string-metal band from the Bay area and we have been working with them over the last month to bring you this new site. So check it out at darkopus.com, you will not be disappointed.
5.18.10: | troubadour gallery
Between The Lens Photography has just posted an online gallery of photos from the 5.14 show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood that can be viewed here. Thanks to BTLP for the high resolution images. Also, the band has posted an interesting video over at the official site, so be sure to check that out.
5.8.10: | leitmotif vinyl
dredg will soon be celebrating the 11th anniversary of the release of Leitmotif with a vinyl re-release sometime this month. Also, during the California tour dates this month the band will be performing Leitmotif in its entirety. We'll post more dates as they are announced.
4.27.10: | new remix and tour dates
dredg has announced some spring shows in California in May. These dates are now up in the tour dates section. There is also a new remix contest for the song "Mourning This Morning." There are three weeks left to submit your remix and then voting will begin on May 20th for the winner. Click here to participate in the new remix competition. Also, we will again be posting fan remixes on the site in the remixes section. To submit your remix, send us an email at dredgonline@gmail.com with your name, the name of the remix and an MP3 file. If you still have a remix of Gathering Pebbles that you haven't submitted we will be glad to post that as well. Thanks everyone!
3.19.10: | auctions for chi
As I'm sure most of you are aware, Deftones bassist Chi Cheng is still recovering from a severe car accident which occured in November of 2008. According to the website dedicated to his recovery, (oneloveforchi.com) Chi is in a "minimally conscious" state. So to help raise funds for Chi's recovery, dredg has generously donated two items to go up for auction on oneloveforchi.com. One of the item's is a munny of Chi Cheng made by Drew (click here to view the auction). The other item is a bass guitar signed by all the members of the band (click here to view the auction). And of course, besides bidding on these items, you can show your support for Chi by going to oneloveforchi.com and making a donation, every little bit helps. We're all praying for you Chi, get well soon!
 
3.11.10: | judgement cackle
dredg has posted a really cool tour video from the winter European tour, which your can check out on dredg.com. It is an awesome behind the scenes look at the band and their humorous antics while on the road. The video was filmed and edited by Drew and also features Judgement Day. It will soon be posted in the live video section as well.
On a quick side note, if you have never heard Judgement Day then you need to check them out on myspace or on their official site. They are an amazing band and if you love dredg you will almost surely love Judgement Day. If you like what you hear, click here to purchase their album "Dark Opus."
